Symphony in the Streets
Detroit Cultural House

Curating presence within the performing arts; at the intersection of art, style, and presence. When the lights go down, we observe.
Where the city performs, we arrive dressed.
Season One unfolds in Acts.
Attendance is legacy; where style, presence and tradition meet the performing arts.
The House
Symphony in the Streets is a women-centered cultural collective rooted in the arts, style, and the tradition of gathering beautifully. What began as a community-centered experience is now moving through a more intimate chapter, focused on presence, documentation, and refinement within the arts.We gather for legacy institutions: Broadway, ballet, opera, symphony. Our focus is curating evenings where the experience extends beyond the stage.
Not every moment is public.
Some are simply lived.

THE STANDARD
Dress Code
The collective dress code is elevated street style.Well-dressed. Styled. Expressive.
We dress for the arts. Always have.
Symphony in the Streets is not a room of gowns and gloves
detached from the city that raised us.
This is Detroit.
Style lives here.
So when we arrive, we arrive well-dressed, well-groomed and unmistakably ourselves.
Expressive women from the D.
Because in this city, presentation is culture.
We come from women who got dressed for everything.
Who pressed their hair, tied their scarves, fastened their jewelry, and stepped out like the evening mattered.
We carry that forward.
Every Act is an opportunity to honor the arts
and to honor where we come from while doing it.
Classic where it matters.
Flash where it counts.
Always appropriate.
We do not come to be seen.
We come already seen.
Our Identity
Symphony in the Streets was born from legacy, style, and a life shaped by the arts. What began as family tradition now lives on as a cultural house rooted in presence, presentation, and shared experience.
